Who We Are

War Eagles Air Museum was founded by John and Betty MacGuire in 1989 as a way to share their love of aviation and history with the community. More than 30 years later, the museum features one of the Southwest’s largest collection of beautifully restored historic aircraft from the World War II to Vietnam Conflict eras, along with a large collection of vintage and historic automobiles, motorcycles, and various military and transportation artifacts through the decades. The museum’s vast hangar space has also served as a location for several educational and social events, from school tours to weddings. The collection continues to evolve and grow, as the museum’s staff and volunteers strive to help new generations discover the significance of these amazing machines from their craftmanship to their place in American and world history.

What We Do

Museum photographers are tasked with the responsibility of capturing photographs of various objects, individuals, landscapes, and other items exhibited within galleries and during events. Their contributions play a pivotal role in the preservation, accessibility, and maintenance of museum collections. Additionally, these photographers may be required to develop negatives or undertake the editing process of photographs using computer software to produce the final prints.
